Buy Pokémon Cards and Figures with Mercari & Yahoo!フリマ

How to Buy Pokémon Cards and Figures in Japan with Mercari and Yahoo!フリマ

Aiyu Japan shows you how to search for Pokémon products on Japanese resale platforms such as Mercari Japan and Yahoo!フリマ Furima, how to get better results by using Japanese keywords, and how to buy easily with Aiyu Japan.

Where to Search for Pokémon Products in Japan

For this guide, we will use two popular resale platforms in Japan:

Mercari Japan

Mercari Japan is one of the most widely used buying and selling platforms in Japan. It is ideal for searching for:

• Individual Pokémon cards.
• Sealed boxes.
• Promotional cards.
• Graded cards.
• Pokémon figures.
• Pokémon Center products.
• Sold-out or hard-to-find items.

Yahoo!フリマ Furima

Yahoo!フリマ Furima is another Japanese resale platform where you can also find Pokémon cards, figures, and related products.

We recommend checking both Mercari Japan and Yahoo!フリマ, as the same product may have a different price, condition, or availability on each platform.

Search in Japanese to Find Better Results

Both platforms usually show better results when you search using Japanese terms. Although you can search in English, many Japanese listings use Japanese product names. For this reason, we recommend copying and pasting Japanese keywords.

Use ChatGPT to Translate What You Want to Search For

A quick way to find products in Japan is to translate your search into Japanese.

For example, write in ChatGPT:

“Translate into Japanese for searching on Mercari Japan: Charizard Pokémon card PSA 10.”

Recommended result:

リザードン ポケモンカード PSA10

Then copy that phrase and paste it into Mercari Japan or Yahoo!フリマ.

Always check the seller’s star rating and transaction history.

If the seller is new, pay attention to the number next to the stars. For example, the number “1” indicates the seller has completed one transaction. In this case, we can say the account is new, but it has already completed one successful transaction.

However, if the listing did not show the green “Safe Approval” label in the image above, we would consider this seller not reliable enough to buy from yet.

Step 3: Copy the Product Link

When you find the product you want, copy the item URL.

Then, paste it into your purchase request with Aiyu Japan.

Step 2: Compare Before Buying

If you find the same product on Mercari Japan and Yahoo!フリマ, compare:

• Price.
• Condition.
• Photos.
• Description.
• Availability.

This will help you choose the best option before sending your purchase request.

Step 3: Copy the Link and Send It to Aiyu Japan

When you find the product on Mercari Japan or Yahoo!フリマ, copy the item URL and paste it into your purchase request with Aiyu Japan.

Our team will review your request and purchase the item in Japan if it is still available.
