Important CPSC Update for Shipments to the United States

Important CPSC Update for Shipments to the United States

    Dear customers,

Aiyu Japan would like to inform you that, starting July 8, 2026, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) will implement a new mandatory electronic filing system known as eFiling.

This new system requires certain regulated consumer products entering the United States to include electronic information related to safety, certification, and regulatory compliance.

This measure is part of the new procedures applied by U.S. authorities for imported products.

What may happen during this transition period?

During the first weeks of implementation, some packages bound for the United States may experience additional delays in customs clearance, while authorities, couriers, and customs agents adapt to the new protocols.

In some cases, the courier or customs agent may contact the recipient to request additional product information, such as:

    • Detailed item description.
    • Product usage.
    • Materials or composition.
    • Manufacturer information.
    • Commercial invoice.
    • Additional product-related documentation.

Categories that may be more subject to review

Products that may be more sensitive to review include, but are not limited to:

    • Children’s items or products for children.
    • Certain regulated apparel items.
    • Electronic products.
    • Items that may require safety or compliance certifications.

There is also a possibility that certain packages may be held, rejected, or returned if the product does not meet the requirements established by U.S. regulations.

Recommendation for customers with shipments to the United States

We recommend all customers with packages bound for the United States to carefully monitor their shipment tracking and respond as soon as possible if DHL, UPS, USPS, or any other courier requests additional information for customs clearance.

Aiyu Japan will continue processing shipments as usual. However, any review, delay, documentation request, or return related to the new CPSC requirements will depend directly on customs authorities, the courier, and U.S. regulations.

We appreciate your understanding, patience, and cooperation during this transition period.
